TEAM CHECK-IN - Manager &/or Coaches Only

Mandatory Check-In is held the Friday evening before your event weekend, October 16 for the Girls and October 23 for the boys.

The times are 6PM until 9PM.  The team manager, coach or other authorized representative should bring the required materials listed below to the check-in area. The entire team is not required to be present. The location will be the same as in recent years, the Hilton Garden Inn, 9785 North by Northeast Blvd. [MAP].

You must bring the following items with you to the check-in:

  • Your state-approved roster - We keep a copy
  • 2009 Halloween Classic Team Waiver [DOWNLOAD] - We keep
(Signed by parent of each player including guests)
  • Player Passes for players & guests, LAMINATED
    We check, you keep
  • Medical Release Form, NOTARIZED [DOWNLOAD]
One form is required for every player and guest.
    We check, you keep
  • Permission to Travel Form (non-Indiana teams) - We keep

Two important facts bear repeating:
  • You may use any existing medical release form or you may download and print ours, but it MUST BE NOTARIZED.
  • All player cards (including guests) must be laminated

Please do not bring the entire team to the check-in.

You will be given a bag containing your tournament materials including copies of the program for your players/parents. Please arrange to distribute those to your players and parents before reaching the game site.

If you placed an order for tournament apparel, you will need to remember to pick that up at the designated table at the check-in hotel.

NEW! Coaches-Trainers Game

We are planning a fun game between interested coaches and trainers on Saturday night of both the girls and boys weekends.  More details will be sent soon but be ready to reply to our message with your interest and T-shirt size.  It will be fun for the players to see their coaches play on the High School game field Saturday night.  Bring your team for some cheap family entertainment.

Attractions and Activities

Our tournament committee has provided a list of activities and attractions in Fishers and the surrounding Hamilton County area and Greater Indianapolis. You can visit Connor Prairie, the famous Indianapolis Children's Museum, or any of the other listed attractions. Shop at the new Hamilton Town Center, at I-69 Exit 5 just a couple of minutes from the tournament site. And of course, visit any of the fine restaurants in the area. View the list at this link. The link is also in the navigation area at the left. b>

Welcome

Fishers Soccer Club invites you to apply for the 18th Annual Fishers Halloween Soccer Classic to be played at Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers High Schools in Fishers, Indiana. Teams from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee come together annually to celebrate the season and compete in one of the Midwest’s finest tournaments. Last year’s tournament registered almost 300 teams. Girls teams will play the on October 17-18 and Boys teams play on October 24-25. Check-in will be the Friday evening before.

USYSA Sanctioned Tournament

The Fishers Halloween Soccer Classic is open to club travel teams who play a regular league schedule. All teams must be registered and in good standing with their affiliated association. Permission-to-travel forms, validated player passes with photos & player signatures, official team rosters, parent-signed team waiver and notarized medical release forms will be required of all teams in the Classic.

New this year are two divisions for U-12 teams -- one group will play 8v8 and one will play 11v11.  Those U-12 teams that wish to play in the full-sided division but regularly play 8v8 will be permitted one additional guest player (total of 4).

Once again, we will offer a U-15 division!

U-9 and U-10 teams may have no more than 12 players.  All U-11 and 8v8 U-12 teams may have no more than 14 players.  Full-sided teams, 11v11 U-12, U-13, U-14 and U-15 teams may have no more than 18 players.  On U-14 teams, up to three players may be captured U-15 and they must be rostered, not guests.   In all other divisions, players must be the proper age for the group.

Teams are permitted to bring up to three guest players with one exception.  Teams in the U-12 full-sided division may bring up to 4 guest players.  Guests must be of the proper age group for the division of play.  All guest players are to be approved by the Classic committee at the time of check-in and possess a valid player pass.

Players may only register and play with only one team during the tournament.

U-9 and U10 games will be 6v6; U-11 games will be 8v8; there will be U-12 8v8 and 11v11 divisions; U-13 through U-15 games will be 11v11. ALL GAMES will use a 3 licensed referee system.

Rules

Teams in U11 divisions and above are guaranteed a minimum of three (3) games. Flight winners will play a fourth (championship) game on Sunday afternoon. Champion and finalist awards will be presented. Teams in U-9 and U10 divisions will participate in four (4) round robin games and will receive participation awards.

Teams will be seeded according to league records, state cup play, regional play, previous tournament experience and geographical balance. It is very important that teams submit detailed, accurate information including league website addresses. A complete set of tournament rules will be sent to your team upon acceptance. The Fishers Halloween Soccer Classic cannot be held responsible for “no shows” which might reduce the number of games your team would play.

Location

The Town of Fishers is northeast of the Greater Indianapolis Area at Exit 5 on I-69.  Fishers may be reached by following I-465 to I-69 and going north. From the north, I-69 from Michigan passes through Fishers prior to reaching Indianapolis. Most of the hotels are located in Fishers along I-69 or along the northern and eastern sections of the I-465 loop around Indianapolis.  The actual playing fields (Hamilton Southeastern and Fishers High School) are easily accessible from I-69 at Exit 10.
