FIELD STATUS REPORT

All fields are OPEN.

FSC Travel U11 & Above Families,

As I’m sure you are aware the fields at Cumberland Park are not to standards we are use to having at town facilities, especially fields 4 – 7.  Mother Nature was not very nice to any turf field in low lying areas.  The flooding in late June caused water to stand in these low lying areas and then the temperatures rose very quickly, so basically the grass was cooked from the heat.  The town was hoping it would come back & some still might, but it is not looking very promising.  I would have loved to been able to take the fields offline right away, but that is not possible because of the high use of turf fields in the Fall.  We will have that ability in the Spring and are making plans to allow us to work with the town to rehab the fields.

Once plans are finalized, I will share the plans with everyone in the club.  Hopefully, this answers some of the questions on what happened to the town fields we utilize.  If you have questions, please let me know.
